Character design of Pearl
"About the Author-"
"The author of the Jane Doe/Berry Wood series, the author "grew up in Anchorage, raised by dogs in southcentral Alaska who shared berry patches and made sure I paid attention outdoors." She has lived in Denali, Talkeetna, Big Lake, Skagway, and Juneau. She worked in tourism, slung hash, and weighed trucks, and though now mostly retired, she occasionally leaps back into the traces: she worked for the National Park Service in summer 2006 at the Portage Glacier near Girdwood. She caught the writing bug and wrote her first novel, The Wake-Up Call of the Wild, and kept on writing. "
- the editorial review from Amazon.com
She is about to be published again in a new novel and this dog, named Pearl is her favorite character. I enjoyed reading a few chapters of the book to get the feel of Pearl's character and it was fun. I'm hooked but have to wait to finish it after its published!
I was so glad when Nita saw her drawing and said "I love her ears! It looks like Pearl to me!"
